Dialog : Discussion on "CHMICAL CHEMISTRY" lessons

On Thursday, ana, indri and ade were in the library of FKIP Universitas Jambi. They are discussing last week's lesson entitled " chemical reactions ".
(In the library of FKIP Unuversitas Jambi, they sit in a circle)
Indri : Friends, last week we discussed about reaksi kimia  Can you explain back chemical reaction to me?
Ana : Before we discuss chemical reactions we have to understand Reactions in Solution- Almost most of the chemical reactions take place in solution. There are three characteristics of the reaction that takes place in the solution, which is formed precipitate, gas, and neutralization of electric charge. All three reactions are generally classified as a metathesis reaction involving ions in solution. Therefore, we need to know more about the ions in solution.

Ade : Why we should study ion ions in solution? Usually we write chemical reations in molecular form

Ana : : Because. The molecular equation gives no indication that the reaction involves ions in solution, whereas Ca (OH) 2 and Na2CO3 in water are ions

Indri : What ion ions are involved?

Ana : The ions involved in the reaction are Ca2 + ions and OH ions derived from Ca (OH) 2, as well as Na + ions and CO32 ions derived from Na2CO3

Ade :  Can you please tell me what kind of reaction reaction in solution?

Ana : there are 2 that is the reaction of precipitation and gas formation reaction. For more details you can search the literature like books and internet
Indri : Okay thanks for explanation ana
Ade : thanks ana
Ana : You are welcome

    1. Of course any compound can be reacted,
      Such as reacting acids with bases by means of the neutralization reaction of NaOH with HCL
      Input 2mL of 0.1 M HC solution into the test tube and add 3 drops of PP indicator solution
      Squirt 0.1 M NaOH solution into the reaction tube while shaking until the right color change occurs in the solution
      Calculate how much mL NaOH has been used.

  2. How to write ionisation reaction of electrolyte solution?

    1. By using the formula:
      HxA (aq)> XH + (aq) + AX- (aq)
      Example:
      • HCl (aq) -> H + (aq) + Cl- (aq)
      • H2SO4 (aq) -> 2 H + (aq) + SO42- (aq)
      • HNO3 (aq) -> H + (aq) + NO3- (aq)

  3. Why chemical reactions are usually characterized by chemical changes?

    1. Because Chemical reactions are a natural process that always produces intercultural compounds and classically, a chemical reaction involves a change involving the movement of electrons in the formation and disconnection of chemical bonds, although essentially the general concept of chemical reactions can also be applied to the transformation of elementary particles such as Nuclear reaction
