Define :  Compare, tell what is the same about two or more things.
CONTRAST
Define : Contrast, tell what is the real comparison of an object or explain ways in wich they are different.
DOUBLE BUBBLE MAP

Define :  Double Bubble Map is a great way to organize your thoughts when you are comparing and contrasting two things. In the middle you put how the two objects are alike. On the sides you put how the objects are different.  We can compare and contrast a Books, People, Objects, Animals, Places,Music, Events, etc.

    1. hydrogen and oxygen have some common properties. They are both colorless, odorless gases , and they both readily react with other elements—making them "reactive" elements. But in many ways they are very different from each other.

      Hydrogen has the lowest density of all the elements. It is very reactive, which is one reason why it is present in only very small quantities in air. It reacts with oxygen. You reacted it with oxygen when it burned with a squeaky pop.

    1. Actually it is neither. But depending on the circumstances, it can have characteristics of one or the other, either gaining or loosing an electron to empty or fill its 1S orbital.

      Hydrogen, having just one s electron, is chemically analogous to group 1 alkali metals, which possess a single valence electron in their outermost s orbital. However, the two exhibit pronounced structural differences under ambient conditions. This is clearly shown by hydrogen being a gas and the group 1 elements being reactive solid metals at room temperature and pressure.
